Subject: The Entrepreneur’s Alphabet: A…B…P…T…S?

Dear _________,

There is simple-to-remember philosophy that is used by some salesmen. It corresponds to the alphabet: “ABC.”

It stands for “Always Be Closing.”

Many people know this philosophy from the movie Glengarry Glenn Ross, which stars Alec Baldwin, Ed Harris, and Al Pacino (among others).

In the film’s most memorable scene, Baldwin’s character—a top sales pro sent down by the head office to “motivate” a group of whining, unproductive salesmen—delivers this philosophy with maximum impact.

It’s unforgettable.

If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it.

So, what’s this movie got to do with you?

Business owners and entrepreneurs have their own alphabet, though many are unaware of it. It’s “ABPTS.”

It stands for “Always Be Preparing to Sell.”

When you start a business, from day one, you should have an eye on selling it. You should build it up as if you are planning to sell it for top dollar.

Hey, I know: It’s your business, so who am I to tell you what to do with it, right?

But read a little further because you might discover something here—a new way of living or doing business—that you’d never considered.

By this point, you’ve learned about how to start a “second business” based on passive investment income. But your first business may still be your main source of income. Why would you want to sell that?

Three reasons:

  • You can sell it for a huge pay-day—anywhere from six to 10 (even up to 20) times its annual revenue.
  • You can leverage your experience and knowledge for thousands of dollars an hour.
  • You can remain in the business but with none of the overhead.

When you become a member of MOBE’s Diamond Mastermind, you find out how to make these things happen.

Even if “Always Be Preparing to Sell” isn’t what you’ve been doing, you will find out at Diamond how to put your exit strategy into motion:

  • How to set up your Exit Strategy Team
  • How to estimate the value of your business
  • How to put together a marketing plan to attract qualified buyers
  • How to get buyers chasing you to sell to them
  • How to get top dollar for your business

But then what?

When you have a business—online or brick and mortar—that’s successful and you sell it, you’ve achieved something that only the Top 1% of Entrepreneurs ever accomplish.

Now, that achievement might feel like “just another day at the office” to you but there is a huge number of entrepreneurs who still need help building their business. They will pay very well for yours.

The fact is, you’ve got valuable, specialized knowledge that other people don’t have. And you can leverage that know-how in several ways:

  • Consult other entrepreneurs for up to $5,000 per hour.
  • Turn your intellectual capital into courses, books, and videos.
  • Invest in other businesses in your niche, for big pay-outs when they sell.

At MOBE’s Diamond Mastermind, you not only find out about these routes to your continued success, we show you how to do it:

  • How to turn your know-how into books and videos
  • Mapping out your sales funnel
  • Create an irresistible offer

Matt Lloyd’s professional video crew is on hand at Diamond to shoot stunning, high-quality videos for you that you can use to market and sell your products and/or services and to build your brand.

At Diamond, you will discover how to make the transition, why to make it, and how painless it can be.

There’s so much more but I’ve run out of space in this email, so go here  to find out all about what awaits you at Diamond Mastermind and how to register.

P.S. MOBE’s Diamond Mastermind is smaller and more intimate than MOBE’s other masterminds. And it’s pretty much the only MOBE event that Matt Lloyd still personally attends. Lastly, Diamond only happens a couple times a year, so register now for the next one.

P.P.S. When you go here to find out more about Diamond, you’ll also find out about how to get 12 sessions with a MOBE Mentor for FREE.

Subject: Get 12 FREE Sessions with a MOBE Mentor…

Dear ________,

Did something in the subject line of this email really catch your attention?

What was it?

Perhaps it was “MOBE Mentor….”

That’s something you’ve probably never heard of, in all of your time with MOBE, right?

You have access to coaches right from the start with MOBE: Your 21-Step coach, your traffic coach, and coaches at the various levels, from Silver to Platinum.

But MOBE Mentors only exist at the Diamond Mastermind level. And MOBE Mentors are the only ones qualified to help you make the transition from business owner to business seller and then to business consultant, speaker, trainer, and investor.

Now, I might have jumped ahead too fast there, so let me back up a bit.

The entire focus of MOBE’s Diamond Mastermind is to prepare your business for sale. That incudes several things:

  • Estimating the value of your business
  • Increasing the value of your business
  • Creating an effective marketing campaign attract buyers
  • Selling your business for the most money possible

Do it right, and it’s the biggest pay day of your life—six to 10 times your business’ EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, and Depreciation). We’ve even seen people sell for as much as 20 times EBITDA. It just depends on the type of buyer.

“But I’ve never sold a business before,” you say. “How do I do that?” That’s one of the reasons that you get 12 consultations with a MOBE Mentor when you join Diamond Mastermind.

Your MOBE Mentor will help you prepare your business for sale so you get that pay day and that it all goes smoothly.

“But then what?” you say. “What comes next?” That’s the best part, which I am going to tell you about in a second.

But first, let me answer a question I get a lot: What is a MOBE Mentor? Who are these guys?

MOBE Mentors are not just experts in online marketing. They are individuals who became experts by working directly under Matt Lloyd at MOBE’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. They know what works (and what doesn’t) and have helped Matt make millions of dollars.

When it comes to your business, a MOBE Mentor is someone who thinks like Matt and works like Matt.

A MOBE Mentor is as close as you can get to working directly with Matt Lloyd.

A MOBE Mentor will help you to handle areas of your business that need help or repair. They will help you put together your Exit Strategy Team (the people who will help you get your business ready for sale and then sell it).

After the sale, they will help you answer that “But then what? What comes next?” question you asked earlier.

Here’s something to consider: Very few entrepreneurs ever get their business to the point where someone else would want to buy it.

It’s pretty rare.

Anyone who builds up a business that another company or entrepreneur wants to buy has amassed a great deal of knowledge and experience on the way.

What I’ve noticed (and I am pretty sure Matt Lloyd would tell you the same thing) is that these entrepreneurs often don’t realize how valuable their knowledge and experience is. They aren’t aware of how many people there are who would pay good money for their guidance and expertise.

Your MOBE Mentor is there to help you transition into this next phase of your business….

I was going to tell you all about this but MOBE has already put together a page that does a much better job than I could—with photos and video, too.

So, find out about the next phase and how to register for Diamond Mastermind on this page.

P.S. At the Diamond Mastermind, you’re going to find out how you can make $1,000, $2,000—even $5,000 per hour—with your business experience and knowledge. And you’ll get the process started. Read more about it here.

Subject: Get Buyers Chasing You to Buy Your Business…

Dear ________,

Think back to your late teens and twenties….

What did you think about first? School? Freedom? Friends?

When I think about my teens and twenties, I think about girls. When I was that age, I just wanted to meet ‘em, talk to ‘em, etc.

So, I would put a lot of effort into making myself look good. I worked out at the gym. I got a nice tan. I used special medicine to get rid of pimples. Always had a nice haircut. And my clothes were always clean and perfectly tailored to show off my physique.

Me and my friends would go out to the mall or the arcade to “scope out” girls. We were big talkers alright—to ourselves—but we hardly every talked to any girls. Later, when we were old enough to drink, we went to bars and clubs to meet women.

Honestly, I was always pretty shy and I secretly hoped girls would come up to me and introduce themselves. And sometimes they did. But I am not going to lie: Even after a couple beers, I was still too nervous to do more than make small talk. I couldn’t “close the deal,” as they say. I never got a date that way, let alone “got lucky.”

But you know what? I never got discouraged. Every Friday night, I was back in front of the mirror, checking myself out. Making sure my skin was clear, my hair perfect and my clothes just right because…you never know, right? Tonight could be the night….

Now what’s all this got to do with you and your business?

Haha, well…I guess the point that I was trying to make is that you can use the same strategy to sell your business. (In fact, it probably works better in business than it does on the dating scene.)

You can make your business so attractive to potential buyers that you don’t have to go looking for them; they’ll come running after you, waving their checkbook.

At MOBE’s Diamond Mastermind the goal is to make your business as attractive as possible so that it sells for top dollar.

But the chasing doesn’t stop after the sale….

When you’ve built up your business and then you sell it for top dollar, you can easily find yourself becoming a bit of a celebrity. People want to talk to you. They want to know how you did.

Most importantly, they will pay you handsomely to help them.

This can play out several ways:

• As a well-paid consultant to entrepreneurs and small business owners
• As a live speaker and trainer at your own or others’ events
• As an investor and developer of other businesses

Moving into this role as a consultant/trainer/investor is whole reason for MOBE’s Diamond Mastermind.

Over nine days at MOBE’s Diamond Mastermind, Matt Lloyd will have his marketing crew and video crew on hand to help you make the transition:

• Turn your knowledge into real information products
• Craft your sales message
• Create marketing videos
• Help you map out your sales funnel

This isn’t just wishful thinking. It’s reality. No matter what niche your business is in—online or brick and mortar—there are relatively few entrepreneurs who succeed at scaling up a successful business and then selling it for top dollar.

When you do it, you become a “rock star” in your niche and you will be in demand.

You may not realize it yet, but your experience and success is like an aphrodisiac to many entrepreneurs and small business owners.

They are going to be calling and emailing you. Messaging you on Facebook, wanting to know how you built it up, how you increased its value, how you went about selling it.

It’s the business equivalent of having cute girls (or guys) come up and introduce themselves on the bar scene.

For instance, look at Matt Lloyd: he’s grossed more than $150 million with MOBE. Do you think there are people who him to personally consult them? Just about every day. His time, when he can spare it, is worth $5,000 an hour—and people gladly pay it because of Matt’s record of success.

Even Matt himself seeks out the counsel of entrepreneurs more successful than himself. He’s been known to spend upwards of $100,000 a year on consulting services and business education. That’s how he keeps MOBE growing.

Read more about everything you get with your Diamond Mastermind membership and find out how to apply.

P.S. Diamond Mastermind is a 10-day, 11-night business training event held at a 5-star resort in a tropical paradise. But it’s not all work, no play.

You’ll have your nights off to dine, socialize, network, and take in the local nightlife. And for one entire day, we’ll take off for an adventure.

During past Diamond events, we’ve driven luxury race cars on a private track, gone zip-lining, explored the ruins of an ancient Mayan city, gone white-water rafting, and more.

It really gets you out of comfort zone (and out of your shell).

You’ll make friends and you’ll make memories, too.

So make the decision to be there.

Find out all about it here.

Subject: Diamond Mastermind: Your Business’ Final Frontier

Dear _________,

“Space, the final frontier,” said the voice-over, speaking of the starship Enterprise’s five-year mission to “seek out new life and new civilizations” and to “boldly go where no man has gone before.”

You might be old enough to remember the original Star Trek series. Or maybe you’ve just seen it in reruns.

Captain Kirk and the Enterprise crew did indeed go places no human (or Vulcan, in the case of Dr. Spock) had ever set foot. They often encountered alien beings, unusual people and dangerous situations.

Sometimes it could be frightening, as with the “salt vampire” creature in the episode “The Man Trap.” It could also be surreal, as in the episode “Shore Leave,” where the crew beams down onto a planet that turns out to be a sophisticated amusement park where one’s thoughts manifest (so be careful what you think about).

So what’s this got to do with you and your business?

Well…I want to talk to you about going where few entrepreneurs have gone before.

(No, it isn’t “space,” though both Tesla’s Elon Musk and Amazon’s Jeff Bezos have been working on that for a while.)

Though most entrepreneurs never even consider selling their business, a few do. About one percent of them sell their successful businesses for a huge pay day. Some even start the business with the intention of selling it.

This may sound odd, but once you’ve done it, you will discover yourself on the doorstep of a new frontier…

…with a “new life.” (I’ll tell you more about this shortly.)

This is the whole point of MOBE’s Diamond Mastermind—to help you boldly go where few entrepreneurs have gone before.

Diamond Mastermind is 10 days and 11 nights—all expenses paid—in a tropical paradise: 5-star luxury suite, gourmet meals, drinks, pools, spas, nightlife, shopping…. Past Diamond Masterminds have been held in Cancun, Bali, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic, among other places.

Diamond deals with exit strategies and everything that comes after.

You will find out how to prepare your business for sale and how to get top dollar for it:

• How to assemble a stellar exit strategy team
• Who should be on the team
• Creating a timeline for the exit
• Legal representation
• Executing the strategy

You will find out about the two kinds of buyers:

• Strategic (this is usually a larger competitor, who incorporates your customers, products, processes into their own business)
• Financial (buys your successful company but keeps the name, reputation, etc., as Amazon did when it purchased Zappos).

You will discover what’s possible after you close the sale…

MOBE’s Diamond Mastermind is your launch pad into that “new life” I mentioned earlier. You will learn how to use your knowledge and experience to begin a new career.

You see, there are people all over the world who want to have successful businesses.

These entrepreneurs want to know what you know and they are willing to pay you very well for it.

Your intellectual capital and the ways that you can leverage it—that is the new frontier. And there are several ways to do it:

• As a consultant, making substantial fees with no overhead (just your phone)
• As a trainer, creating and selling specialized information products
• As an investor, helping other people to develop and sell their business, which can earn you some serious returns

This is not science fiction. If you’re already involved with MOBE, it’s because you saw Matt Lloyd’s results and were willing to listen to what he had to say. You tried it. It worked. You’re here.

Even Matt pays for consulting and training products from people who have achieved even greater results. He has been known to spend more than $100,000 a year on training products and consulting services. That’s how he keeps MOBE growing.

Entrepreneurs constantly contact Matt to hire him to consult them. His schedule doesn’t allow him much time for that but when he can, he charges (and easily makes) $5,000 per hour.

It’s because of what he knows.

At MOBE’s Diamond Mastermind, we help you to organize what you know—your intellectual capital—and get it all onto paper or video. We help you create the marketing and the sales funnel to establish yourself as an authority, using what you know to help others and make a lot of money, too.

Your new life means you work a lot less but stand to make a lot more.

I guess space really is the final frontier. (I am referring to the space between your ears where you keep your specialized knowledge.)

MOBE’s Diamond Mastermind will get you started on your voyage. Find out more about it and how to register here.

P.S. Even if you’re not ready to sell you business, there may be some very good reasons to consider it sooner rather than later. You can read about it here, under “What If I’m Not Ready to Sell My Business?”

P.S.S. We only hold Diamond Mastermind a few times a year. It’s the only MOBE event that Matt Lloyd still attends. Find out when and where the next Diamond is being held and how to register for it now.

Subject: Diamond Mastermind: Libraries are supposed to be quiet…

Dear _________,

Contractors are working on my house today, so I grabbed my laptop and I’m sitting here writing this in the public library right now. (Starbucks is way too noisy for me.)

It seems that in the years since I was last inside this library, it’s become a place where street people come to get out of the heat or cold, get a comfortable seat for a few hours…or hang out all day.

I know that there is a problem with homelessness in this country. Many reasons contribute to it and just as many solutions (if not more) have been suggested.

This email isn’t going to be about homeless people though.

What I’ve noticed is that some of them are talking to each other, out loud. A couple of them seem to be going out of their way to make noise and draw attention to themselves—repeatedly clearing their throats, rustling papers, humming audibly, as if they were anywhere else but inside a library. (To be fair, some of them are being appropriately quiet.)

I don’t know how or if literacy rates correlate with homelessness rates. But it’s my conclusion that some of these guys haven’t spent much time inside a library. So, they never learned about how to behave in a library.

So they just don’t know.

So I have to repeatedly “ssshh” them.

What’s this got to do with you?

Well, you can see this kind of “behavior” in other areas of life too. For instance, I think I can safely say that most people have never considered that there was any other way of making a living than by working for someone else: you go to school, get a degree (or not) and find a good (or not so good) job.

If you’re reading this now, you’re likely not in the “work-a-job” group. You refuse to trade your time for a salary or hourly wage. Why do that when you can get paid for your results instead, right?

You’re an entrepreneur or a small business owner—among the group of people who wants more from life than a job can offer, in terms of time, location, and financial freedom. You want to be able to work when you want, from where you want, and earn as much as you want.

So, some people never learned that you’re supposed to be quiet in a library. Others have never learned that you can take control of your income and not ever have to work at a J-O-B again.

Even among entrepreneurs and small business owners, there is a certain degree of “un-learnedness.”

Many entrepreneurs don’t realize that there is a level beyond owning and running your own business.

Now, before I tell you about that, let me say that there’s nothing wrong with owning and running a successful business—unless you’re still trying to run it when the market has changed…or the audience has lost interest and moved on…or another company has come in an disrupted your industry.

If nothing extreme like that ever happens, you would scale your business up as far as you could and then run it like that for as long as you want to.

Or you could take the next step: selling your business for top dollar and then leveraging your knowledge and experience as a business consultant, trainer-speaker, or investor—or all three.

This is the focus of MOBE’s Diamond Mastermind.

Even if you’re not interested right now in selling your business, things could change next year. Next month. Tomorrow. When that happens, it would be helpful to know:

• How to create an exit strategy
• How to build an effective exit strategy team
• How to market your business to potential buyers
• How to sell your business for six to 10 times annual revenues (or more)

Those are a few of the key things you will learn at Diamond Mastermind.

The game totally changes after you sell your business because even though you get paid for results (rather than time) when you run a business, it’s still largely a matter of what you do. But after you sell the business, you can start getting paid for what you know:

• Consult other entrepreneurs in your industry or niche
• Turn your knowledge into training products
• Develop yourself as a speaker-trainer
• Invest in businesses in your niche and prepare them for a sale (and a great return on investment for you)

Online learning is a $100 billion a year industry. At Diamond Mastermind , we will help you get your knowledge and experience down in words or on video and help you turn it all into educational products (course, video) that you can sell.

We’ll help you map out your sales funny and create an irresistible offer for your products and services (consulting, speaking, etc.)

You will arrive at Diamond Mastermind as a business owner and you will leave Diamond ready to step into your new role as a consultant, trainer, and/or investor.

Find out about Diamond Mastermind and how to register.

P.S. Diamond is 10 days, 11 nights in a tropical paradise—all expenses paid. It’s way more than I can describe in this “P.S.” but I’ll just say being in such ideal surroundings, far from the distractions and demands of home, is the ideal way to take the next step. The information sinks in effortlessly and you can truly see all the possibilities the future holds for you. The next Diamond Mastermind is coming up soon, so find out more now.
